E! News “Free Radio” premieres April 2nd on VH1 with David Cook on the April 9th show (tonight’s interview from E! seems to have been during the taping of the show)

Last Saturday, both Mr. Cook and I got to perform at a corporate event for Primesource in Hollywood, Florida (Where I used to live!) I was nervous before I went on stage because it was the first time I’d done a set that long since my vocal chord paralysis issues a few years ago. I was hardly able to do 1 song after that happened, and so I was even nervous with the tour when I did 4 songs heh, just because I wasn’t sure if my voice would be able to handle it. But I did 10 songs for the corporate event, and my voice was fine! It just made me feel really good to know how much my voice has improved since that whole weird thing. We had a lot of fun though, and Cook and his band were amazing as always. It was good to see him, because I haven’t seen him in a while. It’ll be fun to see more of the old gang at the Disney thing coming up in a couple of weeks. I took some pictures of Cook and his band from backstage, but they’re really lame…. so… I’m not putting them up haha.

American Idol star David Cook backed out of an April concert date at Northwest Missouri State University in favor of playing a private party gig in Las Vegas.

“It pays more money,” said Steve Einzig, president of New York based Booking Entertainment that handled Cook’s booking for the school’s campus activities department.

“Unfortunately both shows got confirmed at the same time,” said Einzig Monday, by two different agents working on Cook’s behalf.

“It’s a two-headed thing and each head is doing something different,” he said. “These things happen sometimes.”

Einzig said he wasn’t at liberty to disclose the host of the private event in Las Vegas.

Spokesman for Cook couldn’t be reached and did not respond to an e-mail request for comment.

Cook’s Web site on Monday was still listing the April 17 date at Northwest as part of the singer’s “Declaration Tour – 2009” that will take him to 40 cities, kicking off in Tallahasse, Fla., Feb. 13 and wrapping up in Tulsa, Okla., April 25.

Cook, a Blue Springs, Mo., native, is set to perform at Ameristar Kansas City Casino and Hotel April 22 as part of the tour.

There was great disappointment in the college town of Maryville, Mo.

“We had a verbal agreement,” said school spokesman Tony Brown. “We were later notified that the act was double-booked and they would not be able to perform here.

“The phone was ringing off the wall with 15-year-old girls who wanted to go to the concert,” said Brown.

My hubby and I went to the Rave theater tonight in Little Rock to see Inkheart. The previews had just ended and it got to the part where they usually have a thing that asks you to turn off your phones. Well instead of that….DAVID shows up ON SCREEN! (I don’t think I’ve ever elbowed my husband that hard lol!) Anyways, he goes “Hey guys, I’m David Cook. While you are enjoying your popcorn, movie, etc, please remember to silence your cellphones. The person sitting next to you will really appreciate it.”……or something like that. (I was like OMG, so I don’t remember the exact wording! I wish I had been able to catch it on my phone!) I thought that was just too awesome…..went to see one my old faves, Brendan Fraser and got to see my NEW fave DAVID COOK!!!

American Idol star David Cook will bring his spring concert tour to Valparaiso University.

The latest top alumnus of the hit talent search show will perform Feb. 21 at the new Harre Union.

Tickets will go on sale at 11:15 a.m. Monday at the Harre Union welcome desk and online at valpo.edu/union.

More than 1,000 tickets will go on sale, with a limit of five per buyer, said Angie Zemke, advisor to the student activities group Union Board.

Cook will perform during the university’s siblings weekend. Siblings of VU students with a concert ticket will be admitted free. Student tickets cost $2.

The N.C. Azalea Festival and “American Idol” are getting together again.

Organizers announced Friday that the singer David Cook, who won the seventh season of hit TV show “American Idol” in 2008, would be one of two concert headliners for the 62nd annual Azalea Festival, set to be held April 1-5.

Cook will perform April 2 in Trask Coliseum. Carrie Underwood, also an “Idol” winner, performed at the Azalea Festival in 2006.

“We were getting calls (from the public) weeks and months in advance wanting us to get David Cook,” said Sherman Criner, president of the 2009 festival.

The announcement of the Azalea Festival’s other headliner is expected in the coming days.

NEWSFLASH!!!!!!

I’m talking to Mr. RMH right now and he was asking me what the name of Dave’s band is. I told him they don’t have a name yet. He said “well then what is the EEB?” I squealed! Turns out through the entire concert he referred to the band as the EEB. Mr. RMH actually knew the name of his former band (amazing) was Midwest Kings (he knew what MWK stands for) so he was wondering what EEB meant. I told him and he laughed and laughed.

They call themselves the EEB!!!!!
